The building originally operated as the Geneva Washing Machine Company (1921–1927).

1929

Elder Manufacturing Company

Elder Shirt & Collar Manufacturing Company occupied the building, employing many local residents.

1943

The Elder Flood

The building survived the Elder MFG Flood during one of the area’s periodic Mississippi River floods.

Kisco Boiler

Kisco Boiler & Engineering Company operated in the facility, continuing its long history as an industrial site.

1951

Antique Mall Opens

Ste. Genevieve Antique Mall Grand Opening — Patrick Fahey and Dr. Susan O’Donnell transformed the long-vacant, flood-damaged factory into a beautiful 25,000 sq ft antique destination with 175+ vendor booths.
